Auntie Says...

Do You Think Life Owes You Something? Guess What– You’re Going to be Disappointed.

Time for a wake up call.

If we’ve learned anything from the pandemic it’s that life as we know it can change in an instant.

I’d like all young people (and old people too) to know that in order to succeed you must get your butt off the couch and engage fully with life.

Do you think there are any guarantees in this world?

The only for sure is death. Sad but true.

Some smart person (no, not me silly), wrote that on your grave stone it will have your birthdate, a dash, then the date of your death and it’s up to you to “live the dash”.

Do you read books that say….ten steps to guaranteed success. What is success? Who’s doing the guaranteeing and what if it doesn’t work? Then what?

How’d that guarantee work out for you?

It’s all crap. There are no guarantees and if you want to reach that pinnacle of success that those ten steps speak of, well you best get your butt moving because it takes a lot of dedication and work.

No where is it written that you’re entitled to a Fairy Godmother who hangs out in the wings with a bunch of pixie dust to make everything magically happen.

There comes a point where you have to embrace the truth, make a plan, and do it yourself.

Go work hard. Make things happen and embrace the opportunities given. Don’t wait for someone to do it for you.

It’s all about putting one foot in front of the other. Period.

‘Nuf said.

Go do it.

Auntie Lesson:

First you must realize that the world owes you nothing. Living life means taking action and recognizing where you are in world. You may start at the bottom but with persistence and hard work you can climb higher. Be a keen observer and see an opportunity when it presents itself and learn to make the most of it. You’ll be glad you did.
