Name One Thing that You’re Grateful For Today? Auntie Gratitude #2

Today as I contemplate the world around me, I sometimes feel anxiety or stress. The outside world is so powerful on our psyche–everything we hear, see, smell, taste, or feel has tremendous impact on our physical and mental well-being. That is why we must practice gratitude.

Have you noticed that when you’re smiling and considering positive things around you, you feel lighter? I’m not saying that we can, or should, ignore the outside world but what we must remember is the lift and lightness of gratitude.

Today, I’m so grateful for my family. All of them (and there’s a lot). Most of all my husband of 22 years… He’s a sassy, funny, loving person who can (and does) drive me crazy, but my world would not be the same without him. So grateful.xoxo

This is a picture I took of myself and hubby Michael in 2019 while on a hike near Las Vegas.
Piper, our Golden Retriever, sort of photo-bombed the pic!! lol…She’s amazing too.

Gratitude can, and will, change your life.

It lightens your heart and changes your focus.

If you find yourself in a place of negativity, try to find a sliver of something positive. It doesn’t have to be large–it can be the fact that you have air to breathe, a flower to add color to your world, or maybe a book to read.

Please leave a comment below and tell me what you’re grateful for today.

Auntie Lesson:

  1. I’m grateful that some utterly stupid thing I did last week seems to have escaped notice.
    Cheers

  2. I’m grateful for some quiet time to read! My husband took our little girl to her grandparents’ for the night so I have the whole evening to just relax and catch up on blogs, articles, and finishing the novel I’m reading!

    1. Oh my I can hear the sigh in your words. That alone time is so important. It sounds like you have a very understanding hubby who gives you space when needed. That is so FAB. And your daughter gets to see her grandparents. Everyone wins. Thanks so much for stopping by. It means a lot. oxox

  3. I’m thankful for my family, my animals, the fact that I have a house and job, and my health. We haven’t always had a house; we rented for many years and moved around a lot. But I’m also thankful for the hard times-we were homeless for 10 weeks ~12 yrs ago. It was one of the times we moved out of state for a job, but a couple weeks later they rescinded their job offer. We got closer as a family, and I got pregnant with our 3rd child.

    1. Wow! It sounds like you have the makings of a book there. I can not imagine how stressful that must’ve been. I admire your strength and resilience in moving forward with gratitude in your heart. Good for you! xoxo

    1. Hi Debbie! I’m so excited for you. That is such a wonderful thing. A place to not only lay your head but also a place to build memories. Enjoy that new home. xo
