Auntie Says...

WWW Wednesday #49… Is it Shepard’s or Sailor’s Delight? Perhaps it’s Both.

When I was a kid, I remember my mom saying… I always thought it was sort of weird but now say it myself. Anyone else?

Red sky in the morning, sailors take warning. Red Sky and night sailors delight.

I took this sunset pic overlooking Skaha Lake. Next day there was Thunder. Coincidence?

It’s pretty, isn’t it?

Do you have a traditional saying about the morning or night sky?

  1. Yes, grew up with that. Red sky at night sailors delight. But the weirdest thing that our parents would say is….when it’s raining and the sun is shining at the same time they would say…the devil’s beating his wife. Where that saying came from I don’t know. Maybe I’ll Google it
