If I seem a bit distracted these days, you’re not wrong.
My son just left for Japan. He’ll be gone for a year and while it is extremely wonderful and exciting, it’s very weird without him close by.
This is going to take some getting used to for sure.
Change isn’t easy.
I think back to my many adventures as a young person (and believe me, there were some doozies in there ) and wonder what my parents thought at the time.
The one thing I do know is that they never held me back and though I’m sure I caused worry or concern at times, they were always supportive and never judgmental.
This is his journey. I’m blessed.
