The World Series…
Well, the Toronto Blue Jays lost the World Series.
Heavy sigh…. heart-breaking really.
It was a combination of missed opportunities and bad luck.
The series was exciting and brought a nation together in more ways than one.
There is of course, the obvious and the underlying pride we all felt for ‘our’ team.
It was all about getting together with friends and family and random strangers who are fans to watch the games, cheer on the team, and rejoice in being Canadian.
It made us believe again in the positivity of fair play and teamwork.
It was very inspiring. Thanks for that Blue Jays.
It’s been a rough couple of years and what the Toronto team was able to do was make us all realize that there is the sublime amongst the muck.
While the world may be all types of fucked up right now, witnessing the productive teamwork and the joy of so many, was awesome.
It would’ve been nice to win, but not all things are meant to be at any given moment, so we accept and we move on.
It was fun while it lasted and lightened the spirit of millions of people.
We’ll get back to a sense of ‘normal’ one day… I hope!
Halloween Candy…
Omg… I laughed at the response I got to my last post about yucky candy.
Apparently, some people LIKE the vile horrid things called molasses kisses.
One friend even sent me a picture.
Consider yourself warned… 🤢. ‘nuf said.

Let’s Chat About Canadian Writers and Authors for a sec…
So today (Nov 5/25) is #IReadCanadian day.
Yes, that really is a thing.
The idea is that our fellow citizens and earthlings will support us in our quest for recognition as we seek success in the literary world.
I read a lot of Canadian authors and since publishing, even more so.
I also read a lot of British, Australian, and American lit.
I like a good story and have my fave authors just like everyone else.
But, for today, it’s about Canada and its writers/authors.
If you can, please support them by purchasing a book, doing a book review, or maybe simply following them on Instagram or Goodreads.
Authors are notoriously a shy bunch who’d rather stay in their office than actually run around promoting themselves… it’s a tough gig, believe me.
So here’s a couple of posts I did on Instagram today. This is, of course, just the tip of the talent iceberg, but I’d be here all day if I tried to remember all. So this is just a wee sample and I’ll leave it at that.

And of Course There’s the Cat…
Kitty likes to drop in–when he wants to–snuggle in and then abandon me at will to sit on the window sill.
He’s a bit of a sassy one for sure.

lol… I just looked at the pic of me and kitty in my office.
Oi…. don’t look at the mess. I have stuff everywhere. And yes, that’s cinnamon… I like to add it to my coffee and also to a nicely chopped up banana. There… now you know something very weird about me. 😂😂
I’ll be Back in a Couple of Days….
I was working on the my book CAN YOU SEE ME? and I want to share the story overview with you.
It’s looking really gooooood! So don’t stray too far… I’ll be baaaaack!

Thanks For Stopping By…
Seriously, thank you! I enjoy having you here. It certainly perks up my day.
Make sure you follow the blog and newsletter…. yeah, they’re separate…. idk why… just is.
Stay well. Chat soon.
Beautiful kitty!
We can all be very proud that the Blue Jays made it to the World Series. That is an achievement in itself.
Oh my goodness!! I so agree Heather. Wasn’t it fun to watch! So much drama. lol. I’ll let kitty know he has a fan in you!! 💕
Thanks for sharing 💯👍❤️
thanks Maureen. You Rock!!
Such a cute cat 😺 Thanks for the update. Still sad about the Blue Jays 💙🧢
Hi Michele. Yes. I’m still sad too. It really could’ve gone their way… but alas… Great bonding moment for Canada. And Kitty says… yes, he knows. lol….
Oh I’m honoured to have made it in here twice – first as the provider of scary candy photos and then again with Beyond Blue. Much appreciated xo
Yes. Thank you Christina for all that… even the name of the ick… lol. Wishing all the very best for your latest book Beyond Blue.
