A special Birthday
This last week started off with my Mom-in-Laws 94th Birthday bash.
Well, okay it wasn’t a bash by any stretch of the imagination.
It was a very small family get together for cake and tea. It was both delightful and sobering.
Imagine-94.
She’s seen a lot of changes in the last century.
It’s mind boggling when you let your brain go there. The technology and advancements in science and infrastructure is amazing.
It makes me wonder what the world will look like in fifty years. Hmm…I guess that’s call speculative fiction, isn’t it?
It was a lovely way to start the week. Grandma Arcand is one of the sweetest, kindest lady I know. Wishing her many more healthy years. xoxo

A Bird’s Eye View…
All week I’ve been trying to capture a picture of the quail babies in the neighborhood, but have been unsuccessful.
Mama and Papa Quail keep them hidden in the grass or brush and are very protective as they skitter from one place to another.
Here’s a pic of Papa Q on the fence post. Mama was below and didn’t like me having the camera.
Mama Q kept the babes out of site and silent.
The babies, of which there are many, are teeny-tiny (maybe a couple of inches tall to start) and fun to watch, but alas, there were none for the lens this week.
Maybe next week…mind you, they’ll be half the size of mama and papa by that time but such is the life of birds–and their watchers.
Blogs… Glorious Blogs…
Did you get to read all my blogs this week? I hope so.

For Auntie Says this week I discussed Signs of Narcissism and the 11 signs you should watch for. Auntie also discussed peeing in public— yup, you read that right. It’s a funny little story about when nature calls but also a reminder that you could end up in a bit of a pickle. Have a look. It’s a fun, quick read.
In My Twisted Writer Brain this week, a discussion about branding and tag lines was discussed. This is so important as you want a work to be identifiable. Great read.
I also wanted to know what makes you purchase a book. A request to readers to tell me what is the appeal in some books but not others. There are some great discussions there and I’d love your opinion.
And then there’s the dog…
I can’t have a weekend review without having the dog included.
Here she is sitting on a Pride Rainbow. Happy Pride Month.
Have a great week everyone. Don’t forget to check out http://www.winecountrywritersfestival.ca
