Hi All.
I hope this finds you doing something that you want to do–just because you want to do it… like reading my post. 😆
Like who wouldn’t want to do that, right? 🤓🤷🏻♀️
There’s so much going on in the world that sometimes my head spins. It’s quite the sight really, but I just ( like seriously—two minutes ago…) read a thing on Facebook that said…
Anxiety is often a reaction to living too far in the future.
Come back to now–
Where your feet are , where your breath is, where your power lives.
I just love that. There was no ‘signature’ or ‘author’ to the words so I’ll just say that this wisdom is from someone who has walked the walk…
One thing I would add to the above is: anxiety can also be a reaction of spending too much time in the past.
Bear that in mind too when you think about where you are today.
For me today, I was in the present for sure.
Let me share a quick story…
A month or two ago, I received a shipment of books where one of the boxes had obviously been dropped. The books inside were pummeled by sand and a few sustained permanent damage of torn covers, crumpled edges, and twisted spines.
Heavy sigh…. 😮💨
I contacted the shipping company who said I needed to deal with that guy over there… yeah that one! No, no… the other one… ugh. You get the picture.
Unfortunately, I got busy with other priorities and missed the deadline of 30 days to make a claim.
Books are expensive. They’re pricy to produce and no one wants to pay for damaged goods…
Definitely a bummer, but I decided to stay in the present and make the best of it.
The nearest and largest town near me is Penticton, British Columbia. I went on a town Facebook page and asked for locations to some local community library boxes.
I shared my story about the damaged books and how I wanted to share them around town.
The response was fun and positive.
Today, I went and placed three books into the boxes and then posted back on the Facebook page for others to find the little treasure I left.
It makes me happy to know that a person who didn’t even know my book existed, now hopefully has a copy to enjoy and share with others. 📚 ♡
I’ve posted a couple of pix below.
And to the person who dropped the box…
Don’t worry about it. It was bloody heavy and probably awkward. I know I would’ve dropped it–and then kicked the damn thing, and then sworn like a trooper because I probably would’ve broken a toe or something.
It’s all good. I don’t blame you. 💩 happens.
In the end it’s only books, but it also makes for a story of forgiveness and generosity.
I hope everyone has an awesome day.
Go pay it forward somehow… just because!
And comment below… that can be good karma too. 😉

Always remember to just be yourself and live your best life.
