Hello Everyone. Happy Sunday.
Did you watch the Super Bowl? 🏈 I didn’t, but I heard the Sea Hawk won. Yay Seattle.
Late yesterday, I returned home from a two week adventure in Costa Rica. 🇨🇷
If you’ve never been, I can tell you that the people are lovely and the scenery stunning.
I traveled down to Liberia, Costa Rica with my hubby, Michael, then jumped into a wee Cesna 🛩️ to San Juan (it was so much fun!), then drove to Quepos.
This trip involved a bunch of other writers. 🤓
We’d meet during the morning hours to retreat, recharge our writer brains, and relax amongst the beauty that surrounded us.
Michael and I met some wonderful people and connected with nature from the land, the sea, and the rainforest.
We saw (in their natural habitats) dolphins, sea turtle, so many species of birds, lizards, very colorful frogs, way too many bugs, sloths, monkeys…and at times, way too many humans. lol.

It was bittersweet to leave, but oh so nice to get home to Piper (my golden retriever) and Kitty (he’s a cat… just doesn’t know it) and my own bed.
Ahhhhh….
BOOK OF THE WEEK For ReaderViews.com 📚📚📚
So besides travel, an article I wrote was just published today as my book INSIDE OUTSIDE is being Spot-Lighted this week.
The article is Five Unique Ways To Find Inspiration.
It was fun to write and hopefully a good read. Take a look and let me know.
Back to Work…
Tomorrow, February 9th, 2026, I’ll be back in the office full time and getting things done.
I have to prepare for a couple of upcoming events then I’ll let you all in on as soon as I’m a bit more prepared.
My YA Thriller/CrossOver is allllmost ready. 😎
A few tweaks here and there and I’ll get it rolling soon.
On a More Serious Note…
Complacency doesn’t ever work. There’s a bad energy floating around and it’s serious.
I loathe politics and my platform is small, but I feel responsible to speak my truth and not hide under some rock and let other’s deal with what is going on around us.
I have to tell you, I’m so beyond saddened when I see what’s happening in the world right now.
The blatant lies, the twisting of reality, and the blindness of so many who refuse to confront the bigotry, bullying and murdering of innocents.
It doesn’t feel right for me to simply go about my daily life when so many are fighting for theirs.
If you’ve not seen/heard the speech given by Canada’s Prime Minister Mark Carney at the World Economic Forum in January 2026, you can listen HERE.
This post that I’m doing… right here-right now… is me removing the sign from the front of my window. (If you don’t know what that means, it’s a reference to Carney’s speech about the essay by a Czech political dissident titled: The Power of the Powerless)
I don’t care whether you’re green, purple or fire-engine red, straight, bi, nonbinary, trans or queer, I don’t care if you speak a foreign language, pray to a different God, eat different food, or wear different clothes… you still deserve to be treated with dignity and decency.
Let’s All do Better.
IMHO, the lack of rules, blatant lies and the debauchery being spouted and dictated are not acceptable. 😢
Each and every one of us needs to listen to all sides in order to learn and discern the truth. There’s so much YuK (and AI is making it even more difficult) out there, do your homework.
Let’s all do better to be better.
If you feel it necessary to unfollow me, that’s okay. Sometimes personal values don’t align. No worries.
That’s it.
Oh, and the Epstein thing… I hope every single one of them burn in Hell. 🔥 👿
I will not debate this issue. As I said, the sign has been removed from the window and I will not cross the floor. Proud to be Canadian. 🇨🇦

Thanks for stopping by and reading my post. I hope we’ll meet again as I enjoy having you here. If you have to go–I understand. Til next time.
Good for you, Faye, for taking your sign out of the window. Raising our voices has never been so important. Miss you, lady.
Hi Sally. Thanks for commenting. What a crazy world, eh? Raising our voices and removing that sign is difficult but ohhhhh so necessary. Missing you right back. xo Hope all is well.
Hi Faye, and welcome home. Sounds like you had a wonderful vacation.
Your book…Inside Outside…is a good read.
I think Prime Minister Carney is the most intelligent Prime Minister we’ve ever had.
Hi Heather.
I so agree with you. Things could’ve/would’ve been very different if it weren’t for Carney. Hope this finds you well. xoxo
I’m proud to be Canadian, too. But in an effort to listen to all sides, I pondered what good Trump has done. My observation: he’s forced the world to look at its values and complacency. Canada is being reborn because a detestable man was mean to us. Ditto other nations. They, too, are standing up to him and realizing he isn’t the most powerful man on earth, as he is erroneously referred to by commentators. He’s a bully who has punched his last victim. We’re taking back our lunch money.
Aggie, I think you’ve seriously hit the nail on the head. I totally agree. Things are changing. The entire world was complacent… putting that damn sign in the window even when we knew it wasn’t true. Taking our power back is essential for our future as a nation. Thank you for commenting.
Sounds like you had a wonderful trip. Thanks for sharing!
Welcome. And thank you for commenting. Yes, the trip was wonderful.
