Auntie Says, My Twisted Writer Brain…

Welcome to the Week in Review and Tying up Loose Ends!

Piper waiting patiently to go on a winter walk.
me and Piper out for a winter walk

Well, it’s been a fairly quiet week. The weather is cool but not frigid like it was a week or two ago. Really, it’s the wind… Wow. It can be something fierce sometimes.

When Piper and I walk it really have to bundle up.

So this week in Auntie Says... and My Twisted Writer Brain land I’ve looked at things that sometimes get missed.

Things like harassment on the jobespecially for young people. The discussion needs to be had and shared. And things like the “poison tongue” are important discussion starters too.

For those of you who are writers, I finished off the week with a simple post about editing. Next week, there’ll be more information about publishing.

Work wise: I have to do some fleshing out of a character… Don’t you love the language of writing? Her name is Gabby. Initially she was a secondary character but with a rewrite her personal story became more important to the overall theme of the story so I need to add more ‘story’ to the character. I love that kind of stuff.

Brrrrr….

So, if you didn’t get a chance to look at my Auntie Says… with what I call the poison tongue picture, please go take a look and tell me what you think.

If you get a chance this week please subscribe to my newsletter and leave a comment on a blog post. It makes a big difference for me. Thanks in advance.

Everyone stay safe and enjoy your weekend.

  1. Love the picture of you all bundled up. It reminds me of my years in Saskatchewan. Have you read the book If You’re Not From The Prairies by Bouchard and Ripplinger? It’s a delight.

I once was bundled up everywhere,I thought, only to have the earrings freeze in my ears and the damage to earlobes so much they swelled up like big red balloons. Also froze my feet skating as a little girl. We Canadians are tough cookies!! Rosalie

    1. Omg!! Rosalie my ears hurt just thinking of that. Holy moly it must’ve been cold. I will admit that being a BC girl I’m a bit of a wimp compared to the Prairie and Eastern peeps. We’re supposed to go down to -18 for two days this week and it’s all anyone can talk about. 🤣 More like normal in Saskatchewan I bet. Lol. Thanks for stopping by. I so appreciate it. 😊
