Auntie Says..., My Twisted Writer Brain…

Weekend in Review–Dream Open Hearted, Dog Walks, Windy Spring Days, and a Blog or Two.

Hi everyone. I hope you all had a fantastic week. Somehow this week got away on me.

I woke up Monday morning and turned around and it was Friday afternoon. What the….???

I hope you got a chance to read all my blogs during this last week.

For My Twisted Writer Brain I concentrated on the short story.

If you need inspiration or a nudge for your muse, chick here, it’ll get you going for sure.

And here, special for you all are the basics you’ll want to include in your short story. Click here to see what you may be missing. If your story is always overlooked then it may need a slight tweak. Take a look.

And Auntie this week gave us a Quote for the Day. Check it out here. And we also discussed the idea of kids seeing the truth and parents needing to accept that. Click here to read.

Next week is right around the corner and I’m now putting the finishing touches on the Wine Country Writers Festival Website for 2021.

By next week you’ll be able to see who the speakers are, you can read all about the contest (top prize is $150) and even learn about the pitches and blue pencil appointments that we’ve set up.

Man oh Man….it’s gonna be a good one.

I’ll leave you this week with Piper. Her leg is much better–so much so that she can now climb up on furniture. She still has a couple of weeks to go on her rehab but she’s close.

And look at this awesome chalk art that Piper and I found at the park today. Sorry it’s sideways.

  1. I’m so excited. My first book is a children’s story about an owl. It’s being printed this week. Horray!!

I’m thinking of entering it in a contest maybe for first writers or kids books. I saw one online with Canscaip. Do you know if that would be a good one? Any other suggestions?

Thanks Faye. I’m enjoying your blogs tremendously. Rosalie.

    1. Hi Rosalie! Yay! Congrats. That’s so exciting. Canscaip is a great and legitimate organization. I took a look at the eligibility and it says “unpublished” … does your book meet those requirements? You can always email them. Wishing you buckets of luck!! sorry I don’t really pay too much attention to call outs for children’s books. If I hear or see anything I’ll definitly let you know. Hope Canscaip works out. Thanks for stopping by Rosalie. It’s very much appreciated. xo
