Don’t You Love Piper?
I’ve rebranded my Saturday posts. They’ll no longer have the Auntie Says… logo or My Twisted Writer Brain logo because readers were confused–So welcome to the first
…brought you by Piper the golden retriever.
This was a week of dense ugly smoke in the region where I live. There were advisories out that the particles within the smoke can cause breathing and respiratory issues especially for children and the elderly.
Though I am neither, one step out of the house and my eyes burned, my throat choked up, and my head started pounding.
You can really equate a wildfire with a campfire because you don’t know what’s burning. A campfire is pretty straight forward but a wildfire could include plastics, metals, chemicals etc. that are all hanging in the air, ready to be sucked deep down into the lungs. Yuck!
So, while the smoke is the biggest distraction to normal life, I’m still writing and prepping for the Wine Country Writers’ Festival in September. If you want you can check it out HERE …
Topics Of The Week...
I hope you didn’t miss any of the blogs this week.
Auntie Says… looked at harassment on the job. Especially for young people who don’t know what to do or say when their boss acts like a jerk. Check it out HERE.
Auntie also discussed the definition of friendship. It just seems like the term “friend” is used too loosely. What do you think? Check it out HERE.
My Twisted Writer Brain… looked at Tropes…do you like them? Do you know what they are in literature? Go check it out HERE
And, MTWB related to the excitement of Back to School…but it may not be what you think. Check to read it HERE.
Whimsical, Wacky, and Wonderful Wednesday!
Wednesdays are great. It means you’re half way through the week and sliding down toward the weekend.
Along with Piper, I started the WWW Wednesday for something light and easy to read. The idea is to be fun and thoughtful without getting bogged down in words and explanations.
All the pictures are my own and Piper and I chose which ones resonate and deserve to be part of WWW Wednesday.
Please let me know what you think.
Well, that pretty much sums up the week and the changes that have happened over the last week or so. I’m always striving to make my blog more inclusive and enjoyable. Please don’t hesitate to comment below and let me know what you think.
