Again we Hear of a Successful Person …

Christmas is a very difficult time of year for many people.

According to US magazine, Stephen “tWitch” Boss, a dancer and entertainer, died on December 13, 2022 from a self inflicted gun shot to the head.

I have to admit this has been on my mind all day.

Boss was the DJ on the Ellen Degeneres show and seemingly had the world by the tail. Successful, employed, popular, family, friends… It’s that reminder that you have absolutely no idea what another person is going through.

Period.

Never forget that.

Don’t dismiss his death as being so distant from your own life’s reality and say that it doesn’t have anything to do with you. If you’re human… it has to do with you.

Even taking the time to peel off the mask of faking it through the day, there’s always an edge of … of what? I’m not sure. The reason is not ours to know.

Was there a way out for him?

He would have had access to resources and medical/psychiatric help but we don’t know the circumstances.

No one knows.

He isolated himself in a hotel room and did the deed. Age 40.

Shit. What could be that devastating that you leave your family? Your children?

There’s no easy answers–only questions left to ponder.

You know, this is a really tough time of year for many people.

All the hype and sugary sentiment of the holidays is not for everyone.

Keep an eye on your friends. Keep an eye on your neighbor. Keep an eye on your family.
