As a writer I play with words all the time, but over the past few years I’ve noticed the simplest of words can escape me… ugh.
What can I say?
My brain is so full at this point that to dig back in the memory files to find a specific word can be challenging.
And, when something new enters the gray matter–well, that means something else needs to exit.
There’s just not enough room for it all.
I will say though that I’ve become a bit addicted to word puzzles… Well, not just any word puzzle… but the Wordle Family puzzles. 😊
Do you Wordle? (I’m pretty sure by this time ‘wordle’ is a verb for sure).
I try to Wordle daily but I don’t post my stats or freak out if a streak is broken.
I simply like the brain exercise it gives me and I figure with it being so full up there, a little exercise is a good thing.
(The first four I can complete in 5-10 mins… Blossom takes longer and is more of a ‘if I have time’ puzzle…)
Here are the puzzles I like to do. Tell me which ones you like to do.

Top L to R:
- Wordle
- Daily Quordle
- Daily Sequence
- Octordle
- Blossom
Have a Happy and Wonderful Wednesday.

Thanks for stopping by and reading my post. I like having you here. Make sure you follow and subscribe to my newsletter.

I Wordle and Quordle too. But I also Phrasle (https://phrasle.com/) and Strands (https://www.nytimes.com/games/strands).
I recently learned a new slang term “Sigma” which either means cool dude or superior alpha male (which is weird because it’s the 18th letter of the Greek alphabet). I suspect I will lose a much more useful word in exchange for learning this one – which I vaguely remember being a summation notation in calculus in the past – and will likely never use in the future memes or math.
I went and tried both… I’m in trouble. I added phrasle to my bookmarked page. lol. the Stands was too visual or me. Such fun, eh? Gotta love words! And I sooooo understand the making room for a word that you’ll never use again… tomorrow you’ll replace it! 😉
I love Wordle, Quordle and Blossom – I need to look up Daily Sequence and Octordle, thank you for mentioning these. Word puzzles are such a good way to remember some of those words that are stored somewhere in the gray matter🙂
Becareful… a bit addictive. Someone told yesterday too about Phrasle… I went and checked it out and now its bookmarked… what can I say? Gotta exercise the brain, right? 😊
I looked up Phrasle as well..too many options!
too true!
