This week I hope you didn’t miss the articles from Auntie Says!
The first being about building that relationship with Auntie or Uncle and why it’s so important and second is an update on Gaslighting. It’s so important to understand the subtle abuse techniques and language used by gaslighters. Check them both out!
And, let’s not forget My Twisted Writer Brain!
This week I discussed the idea of shy writers being able to Lurk and Learn the craft of writing. Also check out the Lesson From a Little Boy. A reminder to writers to keep it real!
Got Questions?
What would you like to see Auntie talk about?
Are there any specific topics that you want me to tackle?
And how about with writing? What questions do you have for me? Just hit the contact page and send me a message.

Have you ever tried to get a cat into a carrier? You generally have to put them in backwards because they’ll toss out those legs and fight with all their might to do what you want them to.
Well, I don’t have a cat anymore but Piper our Golden Retriever wouldn’t fight us on anything.
She’s a great patient.
Oh, the difference in temperaments. When we did have a cat, she snuggled in against the dog on her terms and it was usually because she wanted attention.
I miss that cat.
But, I digress.
Piper is a walking cone-head. She’s now over a week post-op and doing well. She’ll be up and running in no time.
Thank you to so many for sending good wishes. You’re all so kind.
She still has some healing to do but is definitely on the mend and I’m feeling much more capable of looking after her now that a week has passed.

The Word on the Lake Writing Festival is coming soon. I’ll be leading two workshops. The first is on Short Stories and the second is Figuring Out Freelance.
You can check it out here. You can probably still register too.
This has been a week of snow, freaky wild winds, and minus temperatures and then the next day its beautiful sunshine that hugs you down to your bones. I love it.
To lift your face to the sun and feel it’s natural warmth upon your skin is like magical. But then again, I don’t mind wrapping myself up in a blanket either. It’s that in-between time of year.
I got one entry into a poetry contest done this week! Yay me. I’m not much of a poet but hey it’s poetry week. Go check out my post on Poetry Month 2021! You can even post a poem!
All the best for a great coming week.
